Are You Eligible for the Grant?
Grant Overview
Implementing metering and monitoring systems is crucial to identifying energy-saving opportunities and justifying equipment upgrades. The Metering Plan Implementation Grant from the NSW government offers up to $100,000, covering 50% of the costs involved in implementing the recommendations of your energy metering and monitoring plan.
Funding Insights
$1.5 million available in Round 1
Up to $100,000 grant (excluding GST) covering 50% of eligible project costs
Projects must be completed within six months of the funding deed start date.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, your business must:
Have an energy metering and monitoring plan (not older than three years)
Hold an Australian Business Number (ABN) and be GST-registered
Conduct the proposed project at a NSW site
Spend a minimum of $200,000 annually on energy bills at the specified site
Have a complex energy system involving multiple processes, distribution systems, energy types, and end uses
For commercial buildings, ensure the base building is eligible and the occupancy certificate predates 1 January 2022.
