What’s included in Powersensor solutions?

  • The Powersensor Solutions include the sensor(s), plug, and intuitive Powersensor app.

  • All communicate via Bluetooth and home WiFi internet connection.

  • Depending on your requirements, you can buy the solution individually or buy some of these components individually for easy extensibility.

The Powersensor Solution

  • The Sensor(s)

    Both the Energy Monitor and Essential Solar solutions come with 1 sensor.

    The Energy Monitor solution comes with 2 sensors.

    The sensor detects the current flowing through the cables without making Essential Solar an actual electrical connection.

    These detected currents are sent to Powersensor’s secure Australian cloud storage where our patented algorithms convert the signals into solar power and home energy data shown in your app.

    The sensor communicates over WiFi to the cloud and Bluetooth to the plug for live updates every 30 seconds.

  • The Plug

    All Powersor products come with 1 WiFi Plug. To improve Powersensor’s wireless coverage or to monitor more appliances, consider buying extra plugs.

    The plug has two key functions: It acts as a gateway allowing the sensors to transmit data directly, in real-time, to the Powersensor mobile app.

    The plug also monitors the energy consumption of your connected home appliances.

  • The App

    Free to download on iOS and Android, required to use the Solutions.

    The Powersensor app has two purposes: It provides you with a step-by-step installation guide whilst performing tests and other functions in the background.

    Once you've setup your Powersensor, the app will display your real-time energy generation and consumption data. You'll also be able to view your supply charge, usage cost and feed-in earnings.
