What’s in the Powersensor solution
The Sensor
The sensor detects current flowing through the cables without needing to make an electrical connection. The detected current is sent to Powersensor’s secure cloud storage where our patented algorithms convert the signal into power and energy data for your home. The sensor communicates over WiFi to the cloud and Bluetooth to the plug for real-time updates every 30 seconds.
The Plug
The plug has two key functions. It acts as a gateway that allows the sensors to transmit data directly and in real-time to the Powersensor mobile app. The plug also provides appliance level monitoring by monitoring the energy consumption of the connected appliance.
The App
The Powersensor app is available for free to download on your Android and Apple devices, with no subscription fees or ongoing costs. This is where you can see your home’s imported energy data (consumption).
